So some more info which I think would be best for anybody interested.
The elusive propshaft CV.
The prop cv for the Disco 3/ BMW many models appears to be the same 1. These can be had ranging from £22-£35.
Certainly a whole lot cheaper than the whole prop.
For the tech peeps. It measure up. 94mm diameter x 27mm height x 30 splines. ( old 1 taken off)
This all depends I expect on how early it is caught and assumes the splines are in good nick on the shaft.
Also mailed supplier and they got back straight away, asked for a few more details and offer compensation (which I never asked for) nice to see some suppliers still care
