Hi I’m 90% through my rebuild on my MK1 200tdi with 90% still to do, trying to find the Body drip rail moulding on the guttering on the roof,
Both the early and later type seems to be not available, any suggestions on what to use?
Part no’s I have are O/S early MXC2090PUB. Late BTR917PUB. N/S. Early MXC2091PUB
Late BTR918PUB,
The other bits on the roof are salvageable, Also any recommendations on sealant type for the guttering?
Looking at using sikaflex TBT or is there something better?
Many thanks

Edge trim comes is a variety of sizes, styles and material i’ve not seen any thing similar to the metal stripe used on the D1 but there’s black PVC trim that used on the edges of electrical cabinets and trays to the bright stuff, as an example, show in the link.
So just a matter of searching for the stuff u have in mind. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/2827647461...BM56i6GSS2HKs85-4UuNW4cwzpZyookhoCbyMQAvD_BwE

Silkaflex is a good product, do you want it flexible or structural hard as there one for every task and the material you decided to use as a gutter edging.

Thanks for the link and information, the gutter sealant that Land Rover used has dried out and cracked so would probably use the flexible sikaflex EBT sealant after I have raked out the old stuff,
Appreciate the advice,

If you have the common fine crack along the length of the gutter where it joins the roof then I believe the product called Captain Tolley's http://www.captaintolley.com/ works in sealing that crack.
I have a " just in case" bottle on the garage shelf :)

Yes you are right but it’s no longer available, and trying to find something similar is proving impossible,
So will probably seal with Sikaflex then paint the outside of the guttering black in keeping with the original look,
