Reposting this in here due to me having fat fingers........:D

Any one down my way (Wimborne, Dorset) or in the Burley, Brock area of the new forest got a dremel tool I could borrow for a day or even just an hour or two please?

I've got a really fiddly little bulk head repair to do and my four inch grinder is just way too big.

Will replace any grinding or cutting bits I use or give you the cash for them.

Cheers

Proper job do a dremel rep for 9.99. Mate killed 2 in a week but I have had my 6 months used often and still works fine just don't run on full speed for too long. Will take the same bits as a dremel too

I bought a SKIL version about 5 years ago, its permanently attached to one of the workshop benches and is used daily, never had an issue with it and it came with all the flexi extensions and bits you need, cost about £20.

This is the one I got:

I used to have the proper dremel kit but the bloody thing burn out after about a month of light use and I couldn't get it fixed so binned it!

Not really some thing I need that often though

I aint got that kind of cash to spend mate

That was just a example for a flexible shaft grinder. There are cheaper out there. But trash out a few dremels and then those flexy shafts are nice, Have trashed a couple of them and will never waste me money on another one. Plus the grinding stones/wheel/and burr bits the cost adds up quickly

You need to be cutting out more than that little patch ....... You need to get back to good solid clean steel, your likely to be cutting out at least an inch onto the bulkhead face and be having to remove the hinge ...... Do it right do it once :)

This is the patch I need to cut out! 's in a right awkward place and way to small for the 4 inch disc

+1 get a replacement panel do it right first time

Deep joy!

Worth buying a repir pannel then!?

Repair panels are ok ..... They still require a bit of fettling to get right ..... I find it easier to make a repair piece up myself . Just make sure you cut it back to good solid steel which ever way you go, it's a very satisfying job when it's done and painted and one you'll get used to doing if you hang about Defenders and series trucks for any length of time
