Car is at the mechanics now drove about 20 miles and no issues ride height was fine no beep beeps no warnings. I'll get him to check the front bags out and possible just get him to replace them which will mean all 4 are new. What I did notice though when I parked up the passenger droops a bit which has already had the bags done. As I said earlier left and right height settings differ on every height setting which I don't think can be right maybe to differ by 1 or 2 would be ok but mine differ by 10 on some . ie standard setting rear right is 10 more than rear right. Is there any check I can do to see if the height sensors are needing replaced ?

Mechanic just called front passenger side air bag is leaking at least I know what the problem is .i will order a pair today get them fitted next week then rest the the heights of each corner ,job done I hope.

The height sensors are far from accurate, old ones may well show a difference of 10 from side to side when the height is correct. They will also show a difference if the ground is slightly uneven or if the tyre pressure is low on one wheel causing the car to sit unevenly. all that matters is that the heights are correct and the readings are with in the limits accepted by the ECU:)

Cheers datatec and thanks for your email .when I get the car back with the new front air bags I'll take another look at the height settings taking into account the evenness of the road tyre pressures etc .ive read the best thing to do is measure from the centre of the whee to the wheel arch

That's the way to do it, plus make yourself a measuring stick with the heights marked on it.

Well that's the new front air bags on and car is coming up to height pretty quick yippee however as I posted a few months back the car is lower kinda tilts down on the left side when parked and when driving left side of bonnet looks lower than driver side. I measured from the centre of the wheel to the middle of the wheel arch and there is a difference of about 4cm in height between driver side and passenger side on both front and back. I will adjust this at the weekend via my EAS fault gadget bought from eBay. The question is how many units do I need to increase it by to make up the 4cm gap?

Depends how low the low side is, and how high the high side is. On level ground all TPs correct at standard height, you should have 470mm from centre of wheel to wheel arch. Plus or minus 7mm. Increase or decrease in two click stages. Write the readings you have now down first, so you have a reference if things go tits up.

The front left And rear left sit at 460mm and front right and rear right sit at 510mm .do I try to increase the left side or try to lower the right side.?

You in that case would lower the right. Right side is at high setting and left side is near normal for standard height. Lower both front and rear R/H a couple of steps at a time until you get 470 then look where L/H has gone. Try and get it to 470 plus or minus 7mm all round.

cheers for all the help guys managed to get it all done this morning bit of a nightmare i was and out the car like a yo yo lolol measuing each side at each different setting and adjusting but just took my time logged everything down adjusted then rechecked each wheel. Car rises and lowers like a dream now only takes seconds to adjust to each setting.Next step is to get rid of the 20 inch alloys, sort out an oil leak, new blend motors and I think thats that.Car looks good for its age and i wanna get it right.I knew when i bought it I would have to sort out a few things so no surprises.173,000 on the clock bodyworks really good,Im into car detailing so i have it nice and shiney.Oh 1 other thing is the stereo is crap radio reception is hopeless its an aftermarket job and probably was a cheap n nasty one.I might try yo pick up an original clarion ive hear aftermarkets in the range rovers dont work too well .

Hi everyone, I am following your conversations as IO have a same problem but unfortunately I am in Trinidad and dont have as much choice as in London, I have ordered EAS dyagnostic CD and Cable an hoping to get it next week by DHL, than plan is to find a fault and ship the part from somewere. I just wonder in case I need to change air springs how havy are they and also what price range?I am sure I will need your expertise and advice and will ask you lot of questions for which I would like to say thank you in advance. wish me luck..

They are quite heavy if you are buying 4 . Cost for 4 is around £230 sterling fron island 4x4 in the uk.it is free postage within the uk howeve you should email them for a price to ship to Trinidad. Good luck

Hi, I done eas unlock and following messages came up:
6.RR Signal Incorrect
4. Air Supply Fault
7. Vehicle Has Moved
2.RL Valve stuck Closed
I have cleared the faults and 35mph message has gone, car started to rise but FR side was struggling and could not cope with other ones, all the sides were uneven so I tried to do it manually using the computer but when i was pressing FR "up" I could here click by solenoid but no changes, RR and RL was making same click sound but after I could see car was rising and by pressing "down" it was going down, I did leak test as recommended with soap water on top of the airsprings, top of the air dryer, on the side of the valve block but could not see any leak, I raised the car as much as it could and left it overnight to see if it will leak, I removed the delay timer from left passenger side (otherwise car was deflating on one side). please any advice will be much appreciated, I have no mechanic for RR where I am and also I have to order parts from USA or UK.
