Hi on my wifes freelander when we bought it we had a diagnostics done as all the light came up on the dash and would not go out , this turned out to be a bad earth so nothing was working , all has been fine since then but when i drove it today i tried out the down hill decent button and nothing lit up on the dash so i presume its not turning on , all light light up when you turn the key and go out as they should , does anyone have any idea if maybee it could be be a switch orsomething like that so i can check my self before i contact the local landy garage to be stung once again cheers Adrian:)

    What year is the Freelander?
Where is the HDC switch? If it's on the gear lever it may be a snapped wire from the constant flexing every time you change gear (presumably the reason they moved it.)
