Hi all , got td4 on an 07 plate , won’t lock with fob , no lights flash when trying to unlock and lock , but when pressing unlock can hear it working and will drop all the windows if held , new battery in fobs a few months ago , tried disconnecting battery and leaving it of for an hour or so , still no luck , plz help

According to the User Manual, (P38) try holding the handset near the steering wheel, and press Lock or Unlock 5 times in quick succession. If that doesn't work I'd take the battery out, clean it and the contacts with meths, and replace. Don't touch the battery or contacts with your fingers; use paper tissue or clean hanky. Finally try key in ignition lock (so the coil reads the chip), leave ignition off, repeat the 5 times.
Beyond that, I'm afraid you need a dealer or specialist electrician with the correct encoding kit.
Regards, Bryan

Thanks Bryan , i have tried the 5 times bit , and will try next suggestion, much appreciated

If the unlock button seems to work, could it be a dodgy 'lock' button on the key fob? Open it up and try some electrical contact cleaner on the pcb switch.

Sorry that's not worked, only other quick check is to confirm that the lock/unlock rocker switches on the driver's & passenger door armrests work. If they don't I'd suspect the driver's door key lock switch contact(s) are sticking and fooling the system. If you want to start heaving trim panels off and going after the wiring, get a decent manual, even if only from the library. Door trim panels are difficult to remove without damage. Recommend a flat-blade screwdriver wrapped in 2 layers of electrical tape. And a large cross-head screwdriver. Regards, Bryan
