To be on the safe side I would ask your insurance company.... even if you have a bump not related to the doors they can still refuse to pay out. Could be classed as a modification?

I thought it were illegal if you aint a delivery person stopping frequently.....or was that seatbelts....

I wanted to know this and i phoned the DVLA and Surrey Police and the Met Police office, no one would awnser me and they all kept telling me to ask the others. i got ****ed off and asked Surrey Police to quote me the law with regards to it, needless to say they couldent. The closes i got was "Are they desighned to come off?" and "was it MOTed like that?" but still no awnser.
I took them off anyway and drove around for a couple of days, wasnt pulled over but A. If i was it would obviously suddenly be against the law and B. As mensioned above, you could bet your house an insurance company would worm there way out of paying up in a cloision because of it.
