Door Window Felt Guides Fixing Question ?

I'm rebuilding my front doors and replacing the window guide felt / inserts.

Rather than use screws can you glue these in instead ?

If so what glue ?

I wouldn't glue them personally
What's wrong with using screws,
Don't forget the alloy backing strips between the channel and frame
