Good evening

I am looking to fit some speakers in to the bottom of the doors my 90 Truck Cab.

I was wondering if some one could give me the measurements of where to fit them in to the door card.

On a final note what is the largest speaker you can get in to them?

Many thanks.

Ina word, don't, fit them in the roof lining.
However, if you want big speakers in the doors, and have loads of dosh to throw away, I believe that Pau Leary is still making 14" square speakers, the smallest of the range, which are only about an inch deep!
In 1967 they cost over a grand EACH, but the sound was perfect, but I wouldn't fit them into anything smaller than a concert hall

As said above it is going to be the depth of the speaker that will be the issue for size. But I would also rcommend fitting them in the headlining. The added bonus is the are right next to your ear so you may even have a chance of hearing them over all of the other Land rover noise.

If you want to do it properly, fit some better speakers in the standard under dash positions and tweeters on the top of the dash.
Then put a sub in the battery box. Install rear speakers using the LR pods as fitted to the XS.
But obviously rear speakers not possible in a truck cab.
The above can be done for not much more expense than a pair of good door speakers.

+1

I wouldnt fit door speakers in a landy.

Many thanks for the information, where in the head lining would be best, at the front or rear of it?

I have both, I have larger ones in the front and then smaller ones in the rear corner, but mine is a 110. If you are only fitting a pair I would fit them at the back of the first section which will then be right next to your ear. Like in this one (link)
