Just come to changing the door seals on the 90, though on the drivers side, there is a little gap at the top left hand corner (as in the door does not make full contact with this part of the seal. the rest of it is fine! Any ideas fellas?

mm - i got some draft foam tape, some narrow stuff and put that on the top of the door and it has sealed it up, but it remains to be seen how that will last against water... If not i may look at bending th wdoor top, but i think it may be a bit much.

daft boy,

land rover fix is place piece of wood in door, open window and close door to jam wood.gently bend door top towards the body with palms,.......same as audi,vw,seat ......:rolleyes::rolleyes:

just get on with it and make sure that the doors close on the click and never slam them.....:)

daft boy,

Oi bastid :D

Yeah I'll give it a go when the weather is a little warmer dont think these temps are best for bending mettle... i'm sure what i have done will do for the time being. But eventually a permanent fix will be required, in the form of what ya said. thoo, it aint just a hair line gap we're talking here, couple of mm's! Cheers

just replaced the seals on my 90 td5 found the same gap filled it with roof & gutter sealent.
Seems to have done the job

lol,1 i use dont leak anymore, soon put that right on tea braek and now as no-one else slams the door its stayed dry.:)

Yep, it's some Bhuddist monk/tai-chi thinking going on here, "one must let the energy of the water flow through and over you when driving, setting soul free"
It's been built in at the factory on all Defenders by some resident Tibetan monks, very forward thinking by Land-Rover......

Bloody hell, now im gonna have to go out at lunchtime and mess about with the feng shui of my dashboard.

I has yet to rain since fitting these new seals, only snow. But I am eager to see if the water still finds its way in. However, I still have to have the windscreen seal changed. I also need to do the door sil seals and the vent seals... If it still leaks after all that then I will be very convinced that Land Rover did in fact make Defenders using microscopically perforated alli so that water would find its way in no matter what :D
