First you need to be a decent welder for this job,can do vertical runs ect. Simpler to renew footwell and pillar at the same time.Bit of a fiddle making sure door hinge holes are in correct position.Dare say others on here will be along with more advice on this.

after a few years of procastination, I have just finished doing both footwells and door pillar feet, i started on passenger side first to see how it went
remove floor, door, and wing
the feet are spot welded in so need to cup brush the bottom of pillar to see where original spot welds were.
These can then be drilled out with 6-7mm drill, the holes left in pillar are then used to plug weld in new foot/ and footwell.

one of the big bulkhead bots was seized in position so just cut it out

im not a welder but a bit of practice on scrap with varying settings on my 150Te welded half decent plug welds

The door hinge holes just line up, so hard to get it in wrong place.

if youre doing the footwell as well i left a lip of original on for more spot welds or seam weld.
drivers side harder as clutch and brake cyclinders need to come off and ideally steering column but i just loosened it and unlinked the drop arm to allow it to move enough either way to get the grinder in to cut old footwell out.

just need an easy way to spray some waxoil in now without buying fancy equipment!
