Hi all

I eventually replaced the lock mechanism after a few weeks of not being able to open the passenger door (superlocked I think)

Now there is a constant message "door open LH front" and an annoying warning beep. The only way to lock/unlock the passenger door is manually (I have to lean across and use the latch, I can live with this though)

Is there a way of clearing this message? The EAS will not change from access mode to normal drive height until I have driven for a couple of minutes, I presume this is because it thinks the door is still open.

Cheers

Either the door is not latching properly or you have a micro switch fault. It must be intermittently clearing at some stage or the suspension would not move.

Thanks,

where is the micro switch that engages when the door is closed?

I know some cars have a plunger that does this job, is the RR switch part of the latch mechanism?

yes having no garage I am waiting for better weather. I changed the mechanism for a re-con part, so maybe the part is faulty. My mate understands electrical testing etc so when he has had a look I will post results.

Just open door with ignition on then close latch with a screwdriver see if you lose the message by pressing on the closed latch. If you do you will at least know it is the latch switch and not wiring.

Hello! I have the same problem.
To test that everything works, try first with the door open to push the lock with an screwdriver, the door will give a false door close message allowing you to rise the car suspension, to release de lock jut pull the handle at the same time you push back the lock with an screwdriver to the open position.
