Door locks

Hi All

Anyone got any pictures of the internal workings of a door lock off an early defender?

I got a couple new barrels for my locks as the old ones needed different key. One changed no problem but the drivers door will not lock. It did with the old barrel but not with the new one, so I put the old one back in and it doesnt work either. Im guessing something of the internals has failed someplace. It does lock with the pull up on the inside.

I was hoping for something that shows the inside of 35. Seems like the barrel isnt connecting with whatever activates the locking mechanism.

Can't find anything, but I've heard that they're similar to the Series type, but with plastic fitting instead of metal ...

They'll be an expert along soon no doubt ...

I just open/lock mine with any key that's to hand, or a screwdriver..

Figured it out.

It appears there should be 2 ball bearings which fit in the grooves of the back of the barrel, mine must have fallen out when I took out the barrel.

When I fitted series doors to mine they locked perfectly. The door pins have gone and they don't close as easy now nor do they lock as well
