Door locks

my passenger door lock has stopped working with the alarm fob but it work s when done manually has any body got a fix for me please

What type of vehicle do you have? If its a P38 then the motor which drives the lock can burn out. This is usually a symptom of one of the older RF receivers picking up stray signals causing the motors to constantly activate.

when you say it works manually, do you mean with the key on the passenger side or with the key on the drivers side, i suspect the motor on the passenger door lock mechanism has had it. take door panel off and disconnect wiring terminal on lock mech, using test light press remote fob open and close and check for feeds. if feeds present then motor naffed, if no feeds poss wiring open circuit. hope this helps!
