Following the trouble my dad has been having with the drivers door not opening either from inside or outside I struggled to remove the door card(not easy with the space available down the side of the drivers seat)
anyway once you have the card off strip back the water proofing membrane and set to
Remove the electric window acuator to give access, look inside the door and on the inside skin you will see part of the lock there is a spring approx 2" long above the spring there is a tab see photo using a screw driver lift this tab it will unlock the door.

No. The central locking spring is small, circular and handed left or right .. and a biatch to get at .. ;)

Well spent a happy few hours this morning stripping out the door catch, somehow the lifting tang from the handle had slipped above the peg its supposed to connect to so as much you pulled it it just waved round in fresh air.
A small adjustment with a big screwdriver(bend it) found the tang repositioned, stuck it all back together "jobs a good un"
refitted the catch tried it over and over worked a treat closed the door still ok
So far so good
So catch works ok but it looks like a replacement is on the cards
