door lock barrel keeps slipping

ok , all the major stuff is hopefully dealt with (dreamer) so just sweating the small stuff.

series 3 passenger door latch has a barrel which you turn to lock , after wife gets out I turn the barrel anti clockwise and sometimes it takes and sometimes it doesnt.

it locks approx 50 % of the time , the other 50% it doesnt take and door opens and barrel has popped back out , am I doing something wrong ?

You need to push it in and do about 1/4 turn. I thought you could turn it either way. If it still doesn't locate then maybe the detents are worn/broken so you need a new one.

As above sounds a wee bit worn, mine does the same.
