P38A Door fault

Hi Guys. I have a problem with my passenger's door at the moment as my dash board keeps on telling my my LH door is open, but it locks and opens ok. With this happening I cannot ajust the suspension, would this be a fault with the door station unit. Help needed as I cannot use the car. Grrrr. Thanks.

Door ajar switch, is the striker adjusted correctly?

Just had a similar problem with mine, after using Marty's excellent guide i checked it all out and found the lock was u/s. Remove the door card and unplug the lock, you loose the central locking on that door only, but it stops the message coming up and the suspension works as normal until you can get a new lock, go on you know it makes sense!

Disconnected the lock to make my life easier so hunting now for a lock, looked on Flee bay but may try a couple of RR second hand dealers. Thanks for the information guys.

Ok will do, just a quick question what is the door staion box for.

It converts messages to actions. Saves having 30 odd wires in the loom going through the door. Also allows more advanced functions.

I believe I'm the person you are after....

I am away a lot for work, but trying to get things like door latches and bits like that sorted when I am at home... on here if you start a "conversation" with me and drop me a message with your VIN number, I can have a look and see what latches I have here, and also what version you need. I am running low on some of the parts, so might not be able to help out - but if I have the bits here to assemble the latch you need, then I will attempt to do it when I'm next home and let you know.
