Door bump strip removal

Hi Guys,

Just looking for any tips to remove the bumper strip and residue on the drivers door. I've finally found a decent second hand door in the right colour to swap it for the one my wife 'decorated', though our car does not have the bumper strips.....which is weird because there off the same year car!

Use a hair dryer to heat the tape that sticks it to the door and tar and glue remover or turps hope it helps

Or fit bump strips to the other doors

You can buy the strips individually for each panel from LR. In fact, I think it's the only way of getting them now for the 3 door. Who don't sell a full 3 door kit now.

The strips were always an add on. Which is why one car doesn't have them, even though the same year.

They do help with supermarket carpark dings, from the people carrier that despite an empty carpark. Decides to park next to you, and let all the kids out on your doors!
