300tdi auto, 1998 .My disco does not like starting , i have to wind it over on the starter then it chugs in to life eventually, its all lumpy when it first starts , once its started it runs fine lots of power ,just a pig to start, it seems to start better first thng in the morning, it dont like starting when its warmed up.Any ideas please.

I'd be looking at the engine temperature sensor mounted on the top of the head
about halfway back.
Either a faulty sensor or bad connections to it.
There's a thread on here about this recently.
