there's a guy on fleabay flogging rapeseed veg oil with an additive, claims it don't need mixing with dersil and can be used to -10, any idea what the additive might be?

methanol or paraffin maybe or what ever anti wax agent in winter diesel

so is cooking oil if you are not paying road fuel duty, further to this any fossil fuel additive raises duty payable.

Nah ya can put 2500 ltrs of oil in ya motor before yu pay duty on it.

Aye, i generally stand there on forecourt pourin it in before topping up tank wi diesel. Get some right looks.

At a 50/50 mix ya'd have to be doing a hell of a lot o miles before ya had to pay duty.
