Probably a stupid question but what the hell.
I have tried so called universal dog guards in the disco which are no where near close to fitting. Does the geniune land rover dog guard require any drilling or cutting to fit and if so how hard are they to fit. Not exactly something i really fancy doing.

don't know about landrover original equipment, but mine is from Halfolds it's made to fit Disco's requires no drilling or cutting and keeps my big dog in the back.

Sam

Cheers for that, will have to see if i can source one on ebay, getting bored of the pi$$!$g dogs coming on to the back seat.

So yours only gets on the back seat!! lucky you. I normaly end up with a staffy on my knee and a lurcher breathing down my neck while im driving. Its not that bad unless you need to see where your going or change gear:eek:

no i am lucky in that way. mine only hop over whilst im in the shop or fueling up. They seem to enjoy sleeping on the back seat more than the boot.

yrs ago, my terrier dog, would only sit on the passenger seat.
hated the rear seats and would never go in the boot.
she wanted to see where she was going.

Halfords universal dog guard, ****e. But if they do a dedicated one, might be a bit better. My universal one was all they had when i bought it.

I bought a genuine one from ebay, and it came WITHOUT the mounting brackets. So i thought i was stuffed, till luck stepped in.

Andy, if you ever get ya stereo to fit, and then find the time to fit a dog guard, if you dont get the brackets give me a shout. There is a really simple easy way to do it, found it by accident.

well think i found a dog guard on ebay, just hope once they cant get in to the back they dont take up eating my seat-belts for a laugh

I got the mesh dog guard for a disco, they cant eat **** all then.

Apart from ya parcel shelf if you forgrt to remove it.......................

both seatbelts, spare wheel cover, carpet and the bit the shelf sits on so far in me rrc. i've now fitted my hilift jack and jerry can to the dog guard with bungee cords so when he chews through them he'll either get ****ted in the face with the cord or hit on top of the head by a heavy object! i filled the jerry can today.

Lenny got dog guard but no flipping brackets, please pass on your wisdom.

Ok but first i could do with seeing the guard, or explaining it. If you still have the ebay number post it here and i will tell you how to fit it perfectly, if its the genuine one same as mine.

Lenny.

Got it from scrappy however it is mesh type one with two small pieces at bottom ends and they have holes through them where mount to brackets.
From looking at another these two end pieces sit on the brackets which fit behind the seat, and attach via two mounting screws which can be easily removed if you want to put the seats down etc.
