Does nobody want my money?

So taking advice from the Forum (thank you Nodge68) and knowing my capabilities (all three of them) I have been ringing round looking for someone to supply/fit a battery. Spoken to 3 LR mechanic shops plus the local LR Dealer and all have promised to get back to me 'later today' with price and availability...

A week later and not a peep from any of them, can they really all be so busy or filthy rich that they don't want my money?

I got Halfrauds to fit my first one on the L322.

Come on Leomas, it's only the battery. You can do it, I have faith in you, and take the old one to a local scrappy to get a tenner back!

A guy my Dad worked with changed his car battery. Put spanner on +ve terminal first. Shorted spanner to car body. Welded spanner to car, spanner got hot, sparked off, lit up fuel in carb. End of vehicle.

Not wanting to worry anyone though.

Just remember that there's three wires to remove off the battery. + X -

You're welcome.
It isn't difficult to change the battery, even in the FL2.
But if you can't do it, then Halfords will fit a battery you buy from them, for a small fee, while you wait.

Just make sure the battery they fit isn't smaller than the one currently on it.

I looked into Halfords for a useless relative who had a dead battery but who lives 40 miles from me.
Halfords not too far from them and it was £25 to fit.
