Does my transfer box have CDL bits...

yes it does
try this link
www.discovery2.co.uk (thanks to urban panzer)

but i used all the bits off a 300tdi disco and fitted to my td5 (got a compleate gearbox and transfer box of ebay for a different progect that dident happen and only payed £100)

Also noticed that Ashcrofts do the internals with linkage for circa £250 but can't seem to find the linkage as a stand alone anywhere. If anyone knows where to get the linkage I would be interested to know. Was hoping to see a link for where to get the linkage kit in Panzers webbie but alas, it doesn't appear to be there.

that is just for the linkage the transfer box bits are extra around £200 if i rember
give them a ring they are very help full to speek to
Ashcroft Transmissions

the land rover kit is no longer avaliable so as far as i no ashcrofts are the only people making a kit

Cheers, I went on the site yesterday and saved those images in case I have to make a linkage up myself. Certainly won't be paying that kind of money for a cable and some bracketry. Will give a ring nevertheless and see how a chin wag goes.

Thanks for the identification - I assumed it must be what it was - it just looked, with the bit that actually gets turned being so thin and the threaded bit so long, like it was some sort of blanking plate.

I'll be wandering around the local breakers for an old disco now :)

Theres DEF a link and always has been to the relevant Ashcroft / link page on my write up, you must have missed it,

PS, "if" you use a Linkage from a series 1 Disco, you MUST get the linkage / mounting from a car which has the same transmission (manual or auto) as yours as they are different and will NOT fit each other.

Well yes in fact I did see/use the link but wrongly assumed the pricing was for more than just the linkage and cable. I thought 'yeah yeah £245 but where's the price for the linkage without transfer box'! It wasn't until I was 'put right' on here that I realised that that IS the price for the linkage without box.
Gulp...I don't think so! Scrappy it is then....

Located a linkage, tunnel and lever from an 03 V8 Auto Discovery, will this be a direct fit linkage with no mods required? Will confirm requirement on Monday if suitable.
