Does anyone run Michelin Latitude Cross tyres 235/85/16?

I don´t like my 265/75/16 All Terrain BFGs...they are too big, heavy, and make the car vibrate too much as I use it mostly on roads and some gravel tracks.

Has anyone got experience with Michelin Latitude Cross tyres? I think they would be a better option for my requirements.

Not a bad tyre if your are looking at more motorway mileage than anything else... will definitely be quieter and give you better ride due to the less aggressive tread and also the thinner profile (albeit the height of the tyre isn't that much different).

If you do change... I'm on the look out for some BFG ATs so be happy to take first refusal on yours ;)

Yes have those on my TD5 defender. I really like them, very sure footed on tarmac and reduced road noise. Should give better MPG according to specs. The assymetric tread pattern looks the business.

I will probably keep them even if I change as I do some offroad ocassionally.

Are you sure it is the tyres and are they properly balanced? I am on my second set and have never had them causing vibration problems. I have had lots of other things cause them but never the tyres.
The big and heavy will be the size, you will be better with a 235/85 sized tyre for you next set if you want a smaller lighter version, but bfgs in this size will also be smaller and lighter.

There are probably other things causing vibrations, I've been chasing every vibration for the past year :) and it drives better than before. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have been comparing it to my regular road car as that is bound to have a smoother ride. I had 235/85/16 BFGs on before but stupidly I sold them as I wanted a wider appearance of the 265s. I have 235/85/16 BFGs on my 110 which is currently a project car, I will probably swap them over for now, but I think the road-biased Michelins may be better for my 90.
