Want to find the ultimate underbody corrosion protection, i know waxoyl is pretty good and has corrosion inhibitor in it to stop rust going any further but wondered if there was anything better on the market.

Beer! Beer is a much better product than waxoyl... won't do a lot fer yer landy, but it will stop you caring.

Use Waxoyl and add 10% engine oil this keeps it more fluid. Most wax based rustproofers are similar when it comes down to it, it's more important that you apply it properly and re-do it every year or two.

The only problem with that is that it will wash off fairly easily, plus it's very messy....but it will do a good job if regularly re-applied. I'd advise against OLD engine oil though as it has all sorts of nasty things in it and you don't really want to be spreading that round your local roads.

That's very true, loads of corrosive acids in old engine oil so i might mix it with duck oil or new engine oil, not fully synthetic though.

i know of a few old farts that use doosul and injun oil and it dunt make a mess if left to dry..ish before driving it. and they only apllied it once with a few touch ups if needed.

The bloke who had my 110 from new for 10 years before me said he used to take it to his local spanner where they sprayed all of their waste oils on the chassis - appearntly it's best sprayed on when they is a thin layer of muck/mud for the oil to stick and congeil to - i'm sure youd not find anyone willing to do that these days but my chassis is in excellent condition (under all the horrible oily crude)
