P38A does any one no how to undo the drivers side bonet cach i put battery back in and cought it it disconected it cant get bonet open thanks john

I guess you will soon be eligible for a frequent posters card on here : o) They way i did it was to initially remove the grille, you may have to snap the plastic tabs at the top retaining screws. then you will have restricted access to the underside of left and right hand locks - you need to push left and pull right, if i remember correctly (cd be the other way round) to open the retaining "crescent, and allow the bonnet catch to release on each side.
I did read a post once that said you could magically lie below the car and get a long screwdriver and do all this from underneath the car, but I couldn't see any way in myself.
Good luck - it's not so hard, but needs a bit of patience, and a decent light so that you can see what you're doing

I had a problem with my bonnet catch ended up with a flat crowbar to tease up it up enough to get a ratchet ring spanner on the bolts and undo the latch its a right ball ache but can be done.

hi got it undun if one of the catches works open it leaver up bonnet up put block under it you can undo the screws on grill with pliers remove grill the post were bonnet catch is bolted on to there is a hole in it but hard work trying to undo catch drill a big hole ferther up it makes it a lot ezeyer to un do hpe this helps any one els that has this prob
