Does 300 have cabled speedo drive ?

No it doesn't have a cable drive, the speed is measured by a transducer mounted into the transfer box.Just a quick one,
Will a 300 tdi discovery (1995) have a cabled speedo drive or electric and can you change it if it has.?

By "change it" what do you mean?
Was thinking maybe the electrickery could be replaced with the cable drive, unless the Transfer box has a different casting that is.
Other alternative is to rob the speedo off the Disco or would that not work either?

You will also have to have the mechanical head that that will accept a cable drive. There's a bit more to it anyway the electronic system is reliable. and no noisy speedo drives

I'm thinking of putting a 1995 Disco transfer box in my 110 (Defender) and sorting out potential problems before get it.
