I joined this forum in 2009 having just bought my first one, a 3 door Disco tdi, just for weekends. I loved it so much I chucked my company car and used it as my daily drive. I then px'd it for Range Rover P38 DSE which I loved but wasn't practical for 20,000 miles a year. So.... I px'd that for a diesel Mondeo and then bought a Series 3 for weekends. I've just sold the and bought my latest one, a Disco tdi ES for weekend fun. Restless or what?

Well, I really wish I'd kept the 3 door in the first place, but what fun I've had!!

What about you?

still on me first 200tdi 5 door disco.... given that rust is replaceable and all the mechanical bits are replacable i cant see any reason to change...... anything newer will have electronic ghizmos to go wrong and no tangable benifits

On my second, because i was naive when i bought my first one had the cash burning a hole in my pocket and pretty much bought the first one i looked at!

It was ****, the chassis looked like swiss cheese, it had done 220k HARD miles and had the oil changed once i think, or thats how it felt!

I did lots of reading, research, sold it to someone who was more desperate than me for more money than i paid and then bought my current defender, it will never be sold.

I am on my first landy, and am already think about this when i do finally manage to pass it on (how much would I get for it, will I regret it).

Not to say I won't get another one.....:D

Wish i'd kept my 1st landy which was a series 3 absolutly mint with overdrive, safari roof, fwh the works but my brother badgered me to sell it to him which i did for him to trade it 6 months later for a corsa :mad: without telling me 1st

Now on my 1st disco which is an early 200 tdi 3 dr this might be a keeper :D:D

I'm on my first which is my daily driver. I've put 40,000 miles on it in less than 2 years!

And I'm admitting it for the first time that I'm looking for another  I've found a classic that looks decent enough on the outside sitting in a horse pasture looking forlorn. I'm going to pay the folks a visit and see what's up with it.

my first 110 was a rot box, so no i dont regret selling it. I know i will regret selling my military 110 when I sell it soon, but needs must

I sold my first 200tdi disco after 6 years of relatively trouble free motoring.
It had been welded a lot but I loved it,mainly as I did a lot of hunting in it,I had an accident and had to pack in the shooting,so many happy memories went with it.
I wish I had kept it.
I would have just kept it to smile and remember happy times gone bye.
I now have my third disco a 300tdi my daily drive,my td5 I did not get on with so it went after 4 months.
I also have my1998 110 defender 300tdi in the garage,the defender I don't think I will ever sell,lesson learned.

My first was a 1958 Series 2 (**** chassis) them a 1948 then a 107 then an 1955 86" then a S1 88" then a 2B FC.
So nope I wouldn't want my first but any of the others Oh yes.
