I'm in the process of getting a 90. The plan is to use it mainly on greenlanes and the odd off road site. Do you think it's worth me lifting the suspension and if so by how much. Most kits appear to be for a two inches, which I'm assuming I wouldn't need to lengthen any brake pipes for. If I went for this what size of wheel/tyre would be best? Or if you don't think the lift is needed then can I fit bigger tyres on the standard setup?
All help greatly appreciated.

depends how extreme you want to go. do a search on here, loads about lift kits. i suggest running it standard for a while and see if you can get the axles to articulate enough for the wheels to foul on bodywork/components etc.

90's are awesome enough as standard but a 2" lift dont hurt. dont assume that brake pipes wont needs extending... some do, some dont.

standard setup - dont go over 265's
2" can get away with 33"ers

I'm liking the idea of 33's.
The guys I normally go out with all drive Shoguns with 2 inch lifts and 31's.
My main priority is making sue I don't get stuck somewhere and they get through it. I'd never hear the end of it!!

mate... a standard 90 with road bias tyres with a good driver will go everywhere a lifted mitso would. you will **** all over them.

33s are good but can play havoc with your transmission parts. they will wear out quicker. get some quality mud terrains and leave the lift till future. 265's should do you for now.

dont worry about the mitso's, your 90 will be much better off road

I'm fairly use to defenders, got a 110, but that's belongs to the missus and isn't allowed to go near mud. Had a few series 2 and 3 in the past. But a 90 for playing in is a new concept, so don't be surprised to see a few more questions once I've got it.
