Just a quick question...

Wiring up a few lights and beacon bar to my landy. I'm going to be giving the Carling switches a direct battery feed to switch the relays as i don't want them to be working off any other lights. My question is do i need to fuse this battery feed? i believe Carling switches are fused at 8 amps and if that is correct does that then mean i can get away with not fusing the switch feed?

thanks in advance

I bought some of these and placed the fuse as close to the battery as possible, as recommended by other members.

ok thanks for the help, i had all intentions of putting a fuse in but for one second a thought crossed my mind if one was actually needed as it's only a small feed to 'turn-on' the relay via a switch and not the main battery feed to the relay (which i have of course fused).

does anybody know what size fuse to use? i'm assuming it will only be powering just the relay so only a little one up to about 5amp will do right?

5A is fine for the control wiring
