Hi guys,

Earlier today, I decided to go down a steep, narrow mud track, it got VERY steep. We got to a certain point and decided to not go any further in case we got stuck.

The track went down a hill side, it was steep and there was nowhere to turn around. The only option was to reverse back out. Because it was narrow, I had to go slow. I slipped the clutch somewhat and at the end of it, the smell was awful and there was smoke around the car.

When we got back on to the road, there was a slight judder when pulling away in first. (from stationary) I thought I may have warped the clutch.

I left the car for couple of hours and took it out for a spin, the judder seems to have gone. Any idea what probably happened? Will I end up needing a clutch soon?

Cheers

Rich

Sorry for the long post!

Certainly doesn't make it any better, depending on how bad you slipped it/how long you slipped it and miles on car-pays your money takes your gaylander
