I'm looking to fit some kind of headlining in my 90 truck cab as it's never had one in my ownership so thought while im at it why not make a roof console. I was thinking along the lines of a full width shallow console for light switches etc with a central section comming out a bit just big enough for a CB .Anyone done one? Any bright ideas .
Cheers

Not done one but I dont know if you know but there are a number of manufactured ones that may give you some ideas or inspiration?

I've googled the crap out of it lol,the majority don't fit the truck cab and need a headlining which I don't have so the fit wouldn't be great plus I'm a tight arse and would rather spend 100 ISH quid keeping it running hence going the DIY route
This is something like I want

I've screwed a plank across the 110 onto the roof / side panel join just behind the drivers head.
Then two verticle planks from there tucking into the holes in the roof just above the window. The width apart is a radio plus about 4 inches.
The fore and aft planks are shaped so the radio is held pointing slightly down By a ply panel underneath and one behind its bezel.

The rear half of the planks on its ply base has a led interior light on it.
A small cb will be fitted into the unit as well..

I made one years ago for a 109" - easy enough using a bit of 3mm alloy sheet, just bolts on using the roof line bolts. Making it look decent is the biggest challenge.
That's something along the lines I'm thinking , except I don't have anything to fix to on the roof so will maybe have to bond some fixings too it

That would probably Be an easier solution so might have to mock something up to see if that works for me

I`ve made a start and started mocking things up, have now bought a 7 inch LCD and 2 camera`s so its going to mainly house the screen with the section above the steering wheel for carling switches for extra work lights etc
