Display bulbs p38

The backlighting on switches around the HVAC (heated screens, air con, seats etc) all show when lights on, but none of the switches light up when the button is pressed. Is it strange that all have gone? Can I remove the individual switches to get to bulbs or do I have to remove panel? Whichever, any advice on how to change them, what the bulbs are and where I might get replacements would be appreciated. Thanks

You buy a hevac bulb kit off the bay remove hevac replace bulbs about an hour max

The bulbs should be within the switch ...
The bulbs with the black sockets are 1.2w bulbs; the one green socket light bulb is for the A/C display and is a 2.0w light bulb

The switch tell tales are all LEDs cannot be changed readily.

and a known victim when HVAC is 'moved' ...
so something has happened to take them all out ...

Switches are only momentary. They push a button behind them the HEVAC electronics do the rest.

Do they time out after the momentary make ?

Thanks for reply and info - but isn't that kit for the backlighting? Backlighting is ok - it is the bulbs that light up the switches when they are pressed that I need to change. I see those orange plastic things on eBay - are they the things I need? Thanks again chaps.

No whatever is selected stays on until deselected. However the front heated screen will cancel after 4 minutes and the rear one after 16 minutes.

Ok carry on, the tell tales are LEDs one out maybe but if they are all off something is wrong with the HEVAC unit. Have you ever had an HEVAC apart? There are five replaceable bulbs in the HEVAC the LEDs are part of the PC board.

Thanks I think I understand now. I believe there must be a problem with the HVAC because the tell tales (I only learned that term tonight - thanks) have never worked. All the button operate ok. I've put up with it for years (literally) so I'll have to have a look and see whether it is worth trying to do something about it. Cheers wammers and all who have responded.
