I have a 2004 Discovery 2 with the supposedly sealed headlamp unit. I have managed to get dirty water inside the unit. I have dried the unit out but the inside of the glass is dirty.

Does anyone know whether these units can be stripped for cleaning?

Thanks

Neil

As above

Flush with clean water then leave a hot air blower on it for a while or the mrs hairdryer!!

(not melting any plastic parts)

Sorted. :)

has anyone asked how the water got in?

I am not totally sure. I noticed the water the day after going through a car wash. The only thing I can find is that the rubber washer on one of the sealing caps wasn't seated properly but I can't understand how that would let so much water in. I am keeping an eye on it.
