discovery1 vs 2 rear crossmembers

anyone know if they are the same? i want to fit a nato hook to a disco2,,found this bracket but its designed for a 1,,,any thoughts? https://yrmit.co.uk/product-category/discovery-1/nato-hitch/

If it fit a Disco 2 I think the manufacturers/sellers would know.

you would ,,,but they dont lol,,,gave them a ring,,it was made from a pattern sent from LR for the G4 disco1's

The crash cans at the front of the chassis are the same on the D1 and D2. I have a front mount tow bar from Watling Engineering that I got for my D2 and re-used it on my D1. The sub-frame for it fits inside the crash cans. The part numbers are different. So I suppose there is a chance the rear cross member could be the same?

Discovery 2 rear crossmembers only have 2 captive nuts built in for tow bar fastening (see the picture here https://www.bing.com/images/search?...08047835324223055&selectedIndex=11&ajaxhist=0)
So that Nato hitch bracket doesn't look like it would fit.

yep thanks had a quick look and even without them because the bumper is about four inches longer it would not work either ,,bugger
