helloooo all
am trying to fit a worklamp to our 300tdi disco on the n/s rear panel next to the rear door. was just about to drill the hole for the bracket when i realised the panel is skinned and about 2" thick! was gonna put the hole next to the washer jet but cant get to the outer skin from inside. i've removed all the trim but that just made it worse!!!!
where do you lot fit yours and how?!?!?!?!?
oh yeah, done a search but didnt come up with anything to do with a "discovery work lamp"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ta very much

You can undo the screws that hold the rear quarter panel on and prise it out enough to get a nut & spanner onto the lamp bracket and the wire can be dropped down to the light cluster and taken inside there. or get a guttermount for a cb antenna and use that wirth the wire inside a plastic sleeve and thru the door opening.

I fitted a couple mico fog lamps on the top of the rear door....they are fairly well protected from branch's/snagging etc....

I simply screwed into the door, & used hotmelt glue to hold the wires in place on the inside lip of the door, down the side into the rubber tube holding the rest of the rear-door cables...

I found the this pic of a mates installation I did (In a hurry, before a weekend trip to Wales)

My near-side one is even better protected, as I have a access ladder... :)

undid the screws but the panel wudn't prise far enuf apart to get a wire down never mind a spanner!!!!
made a bracket to fit onto gutter and mounted it there instead. drilled a hole through inner skin near door seal and fed a wire into boot from there
just gotta run the wire to a switch on dash n then its done.

looked at fitting em to door but wanna be able to use it wiv door open!
