Discovery sport valet mode pin

Valet mode pin lost
Any suggestions Land Rover want mega money to rest

If its like the FL2 valet option, disconnect the battery for 10 seconds, then reconnect, to clear the password.

I new to these vehicles it has stop start will it be ok to disconnect battery

Yes it should be ok. The owners manual will eggsplain about valet mode. What it does and how to clear if yer forget the password.

Owners manual say if you don’t know the pin
It has to be reset by main dealership

Can you do anything on the touch screen or is it locked?

The only thing I can access is climate
No access to
Radio
Phone
Sat nav
Tailgate

See if the is a reset option.
Or try 1926

Tried 1926 says incorrect pin

Yes. Disconnect the negative black wire for 10 seconds. Then put it back, quickly, in order to reduce the spark.

Failing that we need a DS owner to help. Or there's a deadicated discosportforums.co.uk web site.

The DS seems to have the newer type of valet mode compared to what the FL2 has.

One last question
If I disconnect the battery does the vehicle need connecting to laptop to reset anything

No. Cars have to be able to cope with getting flat batteries and still survive when a charged battery is available.

Years ago radio's needed a special code for security. But that was in the days when radio's were nicked. Different now. They nick the whole car instead.

They did years ago but modern radio's don't use codes. Valet mode is different to that. Modern radio's will remember presets like radio stations saved as favourites.
