discovery brake issue

Hi
Have just bought my first disco and am am very pleased, got it cheap due to needing a service and cambelt done. I just drove it and when i applied the brakes it made a sucking sound, not sure what it is as I am at work and can't take a look but has anyone got any ideas

you bought it wiffoot having driven it?????


might be a leak at the servo diaphram

nope i have had it a week at driven over 500 miles in it

was hoping for assistance guys not jokes to be honest

basically as i put the pedal down and released it I would say it was like pumping up and airped witha footpump

ffs lighten up, the humour is there to make you not feel so bad, if its serious you are after i think yer in the wrong place, now, this spongy pedal, we need more details

the jokes are for our amusment, you can just take the advice and leave the jokes . we dint charge extra them

i'll take the jokes guys was at work stressed earlier now home an dhappy got my baby son in my arms and all worries fade now

noticed on way home only makes a sound when i push hard on the pedal, tried putting foot on pedal and then starting engineand the pedal went nicely down, when i am generally driing and using brakes no sound comes, wonder if it is just me being paranoid

could be, might just need bleeding, like slob said, might be a diaphram,

is the diaphragm replaceable or is it a whole new cyclinder etc...????

I seem to remember mine makin the same noise ???

If yer brakes are ok i wunt worry abooot it

got cambelt, service and MOT being done friday anyway so will find out then if the bill will rise
