Hi all need some help I have a slight vibration at 30mph and only at 30 has anyone had a similar problem or can someone point me in the right direction with what to start with?

It's a discovery 300tdi auto.

1st and obvious port of call would be to get the tyres balance and maybe rotate them.

If that doesn't work then it could be a warped rim, binding calliper or a propshaft issue. Is the Disco lifted or stock height?

Stock height all standard running AT tyres just done the brakes new pads all round that was my first port of call.
All of the calliper seem to be fine pistons moving freely.

If you accelerate firmly it doesn't do it but if you feather it up to 30 then it does it not before and not after only at 30

Will get the tyres rebalance at the weekend and if not not look into it further

Thanks for your reply.

Sounds like tyres. You could just try rotating them now (it's free) to see if it makes a difference. But could be prop vibration if not.

I will give ago later see what happens I have just ordered some new UJ's for the props the truck has done 180.000 so it wouldn't surprise me if they are worn out.

Still need some help right I've replaced all the UJs grease the props no play anywhere none at the diffs and none at the transfer box all the wheels have been balanced but I still have this vibration at 30mph and only 30mph sometimes it worse than others

Have you tried, removing one prop and driving in diff lock, see if the vibration disappears? if not replace prop and remove other one.

Yeah done that it was the front one which was the issue took it off drove it all was fine put it back on with new joints then did the rear all was good a day later the problem came back checked that everything was tight which it is.
Is it possible that one of the props may of come unbalanced? they still have there weights on

An alignment or deliberate out of misalignment of the two UJ's that means they do not cause a harmonic vibration, for want of a better description.

Cheers

No I never spilt them apart just took them off and changed the joints.
When they went back on it ran like a dream no vibration at all then the next day driving home from work it came back must of done 50miles without any problems.
