Hi
i am new to the forum would really appreciate some help.

I have bought a Discovery 4 2010 vehicle has been standing for a while been checked over all seems OK just one issue

At any stage of going up a slight incline at approx 30 mph vehicle shudders/ vibrates when you try to accelerate . (Same feeling as going over cobbles or raised hatched ground)

This is worse if fuel tank is over half full !! Don’t know if that makes a difference

No warning diagnostic display

Fuel filter replaced but still happening

Anybody had similar issues or got any ideas

Many Thanks

Could be torque converter. Whats mileage and is there service history i.e has gearbox been serviced

Could be worth checking the running gear for play, although sometimes a propshsft uj can seize

Hi
110,000 mileage , part service history no mention of gearbox service
No diagnostic faults flashing

They need regular trans services to keep in good nick. Why was it stood? Have a Google 'zf6hp26 torque converter symptoms' if its the 6 speed

You can try an additive like dr tranny shudder fix, might buy you a bit of time but you're looking at transmission rebuild and new tc tbh. People do replace just the torque converter but plenty of stories of main box failing afterwards maybe due to contamination from original tc failure
