I have rear light clusters without indicators and wish to change to units which have indicators incorporated. I've bought PRC6475 and PRC6476 light units, but when i came to fit them, i noticed that the only side lights to come on were the ones in the bumper units, even though the top bulb holder in the new unit had a twin filament STOP/TAIL bulb inserted. Is there a way of re-wiring the multi-plug connector to enable the side light in the new cluster?

HOPE YOU CAN HELP.........PLEASE!!!!!

Thanks in advance.

Have you got a wiring diagram for the lights? if not I'd suggest that you locate one. and check to see what goes where wiring wise. It may well be that you'll need to run a wire from the Bumper tail light to the clusters tail light connectors.

The light fittings you have bought usually work when plugged into the existing connector.
As well as above might be worth checking if the sidelight connection in each plug is live when the side lights are switched on.

Just fitted a set to my 300 tdi it was just a case of out with the old in with the new.
the plug was already wired to take the indicators lights (etc).
there is a chance that someone may of used them wires for 7 pin plug!!!!

are these lights classed as a facelift? thereis a set for sale in the free ads paper where i live at £35, cheap??
