Discovery 200tdi Brakes

right I HAVE used the search and I think its the servo .................but before I go out and buy 1 I need another opinion
The problem is if I press the brakes once all is good but if I press more (without revving ) all goes hard (the pedal) and I have to stamp hard to stop .
So what do you all think

You might be losing vacuum pressure from the pipes, the small one off the tee usually perishes or your vacuum pump may be fubar.

I have fixed it ( I hope)
on the pipe that goes from the vac pump to the servo there is a T on to a smaller pipe this was split but where does the smaller pipe go to and whats it for

The small pipe goes into the heater unit and operates some flaps, but only on air con models I think.

It operates heater flap(s) on non-aircon 200 tdi's as well -at least it does on mine.
