Discovery 2 v8 mobile repairer wanted holbeach area lincs

does any one know of any mobile mechanics who can work on a v8 discovery 2 in the Holbeach/spalding area of lincs, do most bits myself but the odd bit i cant do and the local garages are far from landrover friendly and just had problems with the local indepandant specialist.

In other words can you not stick it on the back of a trailer and take it to them?

Hi thanks for the reply, there's a few things to do nothing major (yet) most garages round here are not that land rover friendly and reluctant to touch my v8 and the only independent locally has just charged me more than dealer prices (that will teach me for not getting a proper price before he started). We are in farming country and land rovers are every where so surely not everyone uses main dealers. Oh well worth a try as you said I will have to look further a field.

have to say, I live about 10 miles away from you, and finding a independent landrover mech has not been a problem...most small garages and independent mechanics work on Land rover about here, as for a good one, I tend to go with word of mouth, found a really good guy, in that he is reasonable and takes the time to do a good job, in my local village, but you could take a chance on the local paper. It really depends upon what your expectations are, seems some less enlightend types think that a whole days work is worth £20......and complain when the bill comes in at £150, it happens, especially when the main steeler charge nearly that for the hour.
