Discovery 2 tow bar removable type

Hi, ive just bought a discovery 2 that needs a little, ok lot of work,

I'm making it into a light off road green laner as paint work isn't the best and I do like taking my P38 off road when I get time.

Any way first question (of many in the future) is I want to fit a removable tow bar as the standard one sit's far to low found loads for a discovery 1 and want to know if they fit my 2.

Is this an unknown then, someone must of tried swopping them when they've upgraded from a d1 to a d2.

There are loads of options for removable types but they often revolve around a 2" receiver arrangement and changed rear bumpers or tank guards.

yeah its the 2" receiver type i've been looking at but mainly finding them for the D1 or they are in america and wont send to uk, would like a H/D rear bumper too but seam alot of money just to gain 2 recovery points.

Thanks for that all look handy companies to keep in the favorites, shame theres no used ones about.

Thanks for that from looking at the links above i can see they are mad quite different, must be to do with the extra bit they stuck on the back of a d2.

They come up occasionally on ebay, but usually fetch £100+

I can get one from usa for around £140 delivered, but do i just wait till I find out how much the std one fits the floor.
