Discovery 2 td5 suspension.

Hi all,
I am quite new to this site but am wandering if anyone with better knowledge of discos than me can be of service.

I recently bought a 2000 Disco 2 td5 GS auto. Currently the car is running springs and shocks. I thought this was a conversion from the faulty air suspension system however it has come to light (from a random person telling me) that it was springs and shocks from standard.
I am confused and am wandering if anyone is able to shed some light on wether the springs and shocks were standard or if it would have come with the air suspension?????

yes some are air some are coils from the factory

Yes I understood that it was an option but is there any way of knowing specifically which my car came with?
chasis number?
handbook?
something like that

chassis no will tell or no plate at your local dealer or indie with rave

I am lead to believe that 7 seaters were equipped with air bags on the rear

My disco 2 td5 2002 manual is a 5 seater but did have air bags originally (on springs now) if yours was the same as mine you too will now have a useless button on your dash by your hazards button that would of raised the back end when it had air bags. No button no air bags I'd recon. BB
