Hi, am new to LandyZone and am making my first post.
Would just like to say how grateful i have been for various bits of info over recent months covering all things Landrover. I currently Own a 2001 Discovery 2 TD5 which is now the third one owned, and in between have had a Freelander TD4 (not for long) and also my biggest project to date was a refurbishment of a 1985 Landrover 90, which took about 7 months of laying on the drive etc.
My latest problem was a warped exhaust manifold which whilst trying to drill out studs i went straight through into water jacket and wrote the head off.
Anyway, after locating a recon 15p head i started the task of reassembly, which all seemed to go ok-only to find car wouldnt start after intial purging and a flat battery! After reading a thread on Landyzone on similar issues, it gave me hope that it was only air in fuel lines, and, after another go at purging tonight along with re-charged battery, hey presto it eventually fired into life and is running ok!
