I have recently acquired a second hand Discovery 2 (2003) in excellent condition........one careful owner etc. I traded it in for a 1994 mpi which I have had since new, so I think I know how these splendid looking vehicles should sit on the road. I am curious to understand why my Disco 2, when viewed front-on, has a very noticeable tilt to the driver's side (RHS drive). Measuring from road surface to top of wheel arches, the driver's side is 1/2 inch lower than the passenger side at the front, and one inch lower at the rear. My dealer tells me this is a normal feature and is caused by a weight distribution in these vehicles biased to the driver's side. To put it mildly, I am skeptical. Is there anything in what my dealer says.........or am I in need of a thorough suspension check-up, particularly the rear off-side.........as simple as that ??!!
