Hi all, when fitting a new seal in the rear diff is there an actual measurement for how far in to recess the seal. I realise it has to go in far enough to clear the mud shield but it’s difficult to know how much to go. In case it’s different I have the three bolt flange. Thanks in advance.

there is actually a fine raised are it pushes down to but knocking a seal in would go past that easily , fit seal about 2mm below
