Hi all, after a drive too bluewater and back the red oil light came on when the motor drops below 1,000 revs. Hasn’t seemed too do it when driving around town.

Yes it’s got oil in and recently had the sump bolt thing checked that’s prone too coming loose.

Any help greatly appreciated

Oil and filter change ASAP, if that does not work sump off as either pump gone or pickup blocked

First of all you should rule out the pressure switch which is in the cooler cos they can make tricks as well)maybe you are lucky to be that) and if the problem still persists it might be the oil pump... there are two kind of switches, google out NUC10003 and NUC000020 you must figure out which one you have cos i couldnt find a clear pattern about that nor i know what's the difference

I had that happen on another car I owned. Oil light would flicker at tickover but I knew the oil and filter had not long been changed. New sensor and all sorted although I did "borrow" a pressure gauge and some fittings from work and plumbed it in to check first.
