Hello, I'm a new member and although I note many threads on this issue I can't see one like the one we have recently experienced. Travelling down the motorway, go to engage cruise control then no power, the accelerator does nothing. Cruise to the hard shoulder, wait for a bit then restart and the problem didn't reappear, another 30 miles driven. It's now home and I'm wondering what to do next.
It's a 2003 diesel automatic and of late it's been behaving itself although I did have a couple of times when the engine seemed to hiccup for a fraction of time and then carry on, again (I think) with cruise control on.
